Process

The purpose behind this project was choosing a Marvel villain who currently doesn't have a movie and creating a poster that captures who that villain is. As well as choosing the right person to portray said villain on the big screen.

Why Keanu Reaves?
When you get to know Moon Knight, you will find that he was a person who was reborn after his death in Egypt. Many people in the Marvel Universe may think he is a hero, but over time, he transforms into an anti-hero. He is often cruel and intolerant when dealing with criminals. Keanu Reeves is the perfect person to take Moon Knight's mantel since he has played many action-packed movie characters and he is always ready to play a badass character.

Why the darker tone?
The background depicts Egyptian hieroglyphics, which play homage to Moon Knight's origins since he was left for dead in Egypt but was reborn with powers when he came across an ancient tomb. Keanu is holding Moon Knight's signature weapon shaped like a crescent moon. Moon Knight is a darker character, which is why the poster portrays darker tones in general, but at the same time, it amplifies his multiple personalities, giving a sense of mystery because you never know what you will get.

Movie Title
Moon Knight The Dead Shall Rise, foreshadows Moon Knight's death which combined with the poster leaves the audience with enough information to wonder how does he die. The movie will tell the origins of Moon Knight and how he became the person he is today.
